An Examination of the Narconon Program
The Narconon Centers in California

Narconon's history
in California dates back to 1972 in Los Angeles where the first Narconon
residential rehabilitation center was opened. That same program is still in
existence, but moved its location to Newport Beach and has also opened up
another location in San Diego County.
Since that time there has also
been three centers to open in northern California. These include Watsonville
(near Santa Cruz), Placerville (near Sacramento) and the newest edition of
South Lake Tahoe.
Narconon has continued its growth in California by
opening a center in Palm Springs recently, and California has the most Narconon
centers per state than anywhere else in the country. Los Angeles is also home to the office of Narconon International, whose job it is to oversee the application and delivery of the Narconon drug education and rehabilitation program throughout the world.
