An Examination of the Narconon Program
Certifications, Accrediations and Licenses for Narconon
Unless you are a faith-based organization, a drug rehabilitation program must meet certain standards laid out by the Federal Government and/or State Agencies and accreditation organizations. Narconon centers have an excellent standing relationship with these organizations and have earned top honors in their inspections for certifications and/or accreditations. For example, the largest center in the network, Narconon Arrowhead, is both certified by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse to provide drug-free withdrawal services, but is also accredited by the Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission (CARF), which is a nationwide standards-setting organization.

One of the Florida Narconon Programs, an outpatient center in Clearwater, even received a Best Practices Award in 2004 from the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Here is just a sampling of some additional licenses for centers in California, Florida, Michigan and Louisiana in the United States. There are multiple centers in some states, and for a complete listing of Narconon locations, visit Narconon International's site.
